• Relationships between professionally recognized codes of ethics and standards of practice as outlined by the American Association of Police Polygraphists and the American Polygraph Association
• Examples of common unethical practices
• Motivations for unethical conduct
• Strategies for minimizing institutional pressures to relax ethical principles or deviate from accepted standards of practice
• An ethical model of polygraphy based on the principle of authority
• Essential virtues for the ethical polygrapher
• Ethical business practices
• Other ethical considerations related to the field of polygraphy.

A comprehensive exam will be administered at the conclusion of this course of instruction with a minimum passing score of 80% required for successful completion.
